IF - Toys

Can you feel it? Voodoo doll.

In the nick of time for this weeks IF. Couldn't get into the IF website yesterday evening. Hope I'll be a bit faster next week.
Had to think for a few days what i'd draw for this weeks IF, but I think it turned out pretty good.
The doll is completely 3D and was made with illustrator and the background was photoshopped. Hope you like it. Let me know if you do.

Illustration Friday - Cultivate

The Illustration Friday word of this week is 'Cultivate'. I immediatly thought of the carrots I have to plant next month in our garden. First you seed, then they grow and then we eat.

Let me know what you think of the drawing that I made with Illustrator. (I love the 3D renders you can make with the program. Absolutely brilliant!)

Creative course

Today I learned that I've been accepted to start in the creative DTP course that's starting this monday. The teacher I had the appointment with even thought my work was a level above the level of most students. Which is great to hear ofcourse :)

So starting monday I'm back in school after 15-some years. Brilliant!

Killer Bunny Illustrator Tutorial

I was looking on counteracting all the happy go lucky easter bunny's that are starting to pop-up everywhere and this was the perfect project. I followed this tutorial and made this crazy Killer Bunny illustration. Plus I learned some great new techniques. Which is good for me, especially since I only started drawing a couple of months ago and I'm still getting grips with all that Illustrator has to offer me.

Here's what I ended up with after I followed the tutorial.

I love the movement of the whole thing, I has to make me some more of these. It was great fun to make. Now I'm going to see if I can make something of my own for 'Illustration Friday' this week the word is Danger and for a second I thought I'd put the bunny in, but I don't think that would be fair.

My first blog

Well this is spiffy and new. My own blog for all my illustrations. I've never been much of a drawing person, but since I've discovered Illustrator CS5 I've gone completely off the map. I love drawing stuff on paper and then making it so much better with the computer. At the moment I'm also following loads of on-line tuts so I can improve on my illustrator/illustrating skills, so you might find some stuff that makes you think...'I've seen that before somewhere'. But I've also got loads of ideas that are just jumping at the chance to fall out of my head straight onto paper.
First I'd like to spruce up this Blog a bit... lets find out how that works...
